Year 1 and 2 art Club entry to Mayors Christmas Tree Festival 2016

'Christmas in space shines even brighter'


Children from year 1 and year 2 art club had great fun creating the decorations for a fabulous space
themed Christmas Tree.

Inspired by the recent adventures of British astronaut Tim Peake,  the children created and entered their space themed tree in the Mayors Christmas Tree Festival.

Throughout December our tree has been on display in the foyer of the the Civic Centre for all to enjoy.

We are pleased to announce it has been awarded a Highly Commended certificate by the Mayor.

Bridge Building Workshop 25-11-16

The children in Year R invited Nursery children to come to a Bridge Building Workshop. Year R had written and drawn plans of how to make bridges as part of of their work on the Story of 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. The Nursery children had visited Mount Pleasant Train Crossing and also read and acted out the same story. Can you see "Who is crossing over my bridge?"
