In Falcons Class today we were investigating materials. We were trying to find the most suitable material from which to make a coat for our puppets.

 

We tested cotton, plastic cling film, nylon and paper.

 

We put 5 drops of water onto each material to keep it fair.

We waited to see if the water went through the material.

 

In Falcons Class we have been investigating money. We have been using coins to help us make the same amount in different ways. For example 5p + 5p =10p so does 2p + 2p + 2p + 2p +2p

Remember - Every day is important.

Year 2 Circus Topic

Year 2's topic for this half term is 'The Circus'

To launch our topic, we had a 'Dress as a Clown Day'.

Out of this World

Welcome back, we hope you all had a good holiday. This half term our Topic will be Out of this World. We will be learning all about Space. We will be listening to and writing instructions of how to make our own space rocket. We will be learning about different planets and reading the text 'Aliens love underpants.' Please look out for our weekly Learning Letter so you are aware of what we will be learning each week and how you can support your child at home.

On the last day of the Autumn term year 1 enjoyed having their faces painted! There were some very creative and artistic designs.
