Nursery Visit to Soton Library

The Community Librarian came to visit us in Nursery, and we caught the bus to visit the Central Library. The Librarians there recognised some of us. Well done Nursery parents for taking your children to the Library- it is one of the best pieces of Home Learning you can do for your family.

New Forest Wildlife Park Trip Y2

On Tuesday Year 2 all went to the New Forest Wildlife Park, this trip supported the children's learning in science this half term.

The children found out lots of information about how animals are suited to their particular habitat. We saw Otters, deer, Ferrets, Owls and even a Wolf. What was great were all the comments from the staff at the park about the lovely manners of out children and their excellent behaviour.

Nursery Pancake day

We made and ate pancakes on pancake day. Some of us then made our own in the role play kitchen.

New Forest Wildlife Research "The Great Outdoors"

Here are a few photos of the children on laptops researching New Forest Wildlife Park, before their visit.
It was part of our topic work (The Great Outdoors). The children worked in mixed ability groups exploring the park's website + reading and answering questions about the animals they were going to see.
